Clandon Park Run, 30th March 2008
The running event for the whole family with 10k, 4k and junior fun runs. Scenery, atmosphere and distances to suit all ages.

All races start and finish at George Abbot School, Guildford, where there will be entertainment, refreshments and live music.

What:
10k cross-country run: 2k leg across Merrow Park and Merrow Common to reach the 6k loop in Clandon Park. Run across fields, along tracks, around lakes, over bridges and stiles and enjoy views across Guildford. Pass the historic Clandon Park house and see parts of the private estate not open to the public. Recommended age 16+

4k cross-country run: Mostly off-road grass and woodland tracks across Merrow Park and around Merrow Common.

Junior fun runs: Age group runs on grass running track at George Abbot School; 400m for reception age up to 1600m for Year 6. On the day entry if spaces still available.

10k walk: Can you walk 10km in 2 hours? Walk the scenic 10k run route (after the runners); brisk pace required.

I am a 13 year old boy and I did the 4k in 18mins i was very proud of myself and set a new personal best. My mum did the 10k and acheived that in 55 mins she also set a new PB. Overall it was a brilliant event, it was very well organised and I thoroughly enjoyed it - Wez
